What certifications do commercial cold display cabinets from China need for the EU?
Cold cabinets sold in the EU need CE marking backed by test reports under the Low Voltage and EMC directives (the usual safety standard for commercial refrigerated cabinets is EN 60335-2-89), RoHS compliance, an EU energy label with EPREL registration for display cabinets, and a refrigerant that complies with the EU F-Gas Regulation. Asiaction collects the model-specific test reports before you order and checks that the certificates are real, with partner labs such as SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas when extra testing is needed. Which refrigerant should cold cabinets bought in China use?
Most plug-in commercial cabinets made for Europe now use natural refrigerants such as R-290 (propane) or R-600a, because the F-Gas Regulation bans high-GWP HFCs in this type of equipment. The refrigerant and charge weight are agreed in writing with the factory before production and checked on the units at inspection. R-290 units also need the right declarations for sea freight.
What is the minimum order quantity and the lead time for cold cabinets?
MOQs and lead times are set by each factory and depend on the model, the size and how much you customise (branding, colour, shelving, lighting). Asiaction's sourcing study shortlists 3 to 5 checked factories and gives you their real MOQ, price and lead time side by side, before you commit.
How do you control the quality of cold cabinets before they leave China?
Asiaction inspects every production it follows, at AQL Level II (0 critical, 2.5 major, 4.0 minor defects) unless you set another plan. For cold cabinets this includes cooling tests, temperature checks, door seals, lighting and electrical safety, energy labels, plugs and packaging, with a report that includes photos and videos.
